clark l. edmond -- founder, executive director
Clark L. Edmond (she/her/hers) is from Atlanta, GA, and lives between New York and London. After receiving her J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Law School and a Master’s in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art-London in 2019, she decided to launch __crate, with the goal of making the art world more accessible for her friends who are young professionals in the corporate sphere. In addition to founding __crate, she is a startup advisor specializing in the intersection of art, law, tech innovation and business strategy.
blaine baxter bilal -- co-founder, artist director
Blaine Baxter Bilal (she/her/hers) is from Athens, GA, lives in Brooklyn, NY, and studied art history at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Blaine met Clark in NYC through mutual friends and love for emerging artists and social advocacy. In addition to __crate, she is a volunteer educator at the Brooklyn Museum, and works to progress representation, equity, and inclusion within the tech industry and arts institutions with a focus on access and education. In the past she’s worked at Slought, Temple Contemporary, and Queens Museum.
alex doyle -- co-founder, director of operations
Alexandra Delorieux Doyle (she/her/hers) is from Boston, MA and is currently based in London. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Connecticut and a Master’s Degree in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art-London, alongside Clark. Alex has since worked in the art world, currently in an operations and marketing capacity for an art business headhunting firm based in London and New York. In the past, she has worked and interned at Arden Gallery, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Peabody Essex Museum and the New Britain Museum of American Art.
